We can look back on 375 years of company history
Some stories begin quietly and unfold over the centuries. The story of Wittigsthal begins in 1651, at a time when Europe was just recovering from the Thirty Years’ War. There was no electricity, no machinery and no digital connectivity. The Industrial Revolution, the steam engine, railways and motor cars were still unimaginable. Newton, Mozart and even Beethoven had not yet been born. It was against this backdrop that the foundations were laid for what Wittigsthal is today.
For 375 years now, our company has kept pace with the changing times. Yet this extraordinary journey was never the work of buildings, machines or names alone. Over the centuries, Wittigsthal has been shaped by the people, their sense of responsibility, their steadfastness and their ability to adapt time and again to new circumstances.
What remains is a company that has endured through numerous generations and continues to evolve.
We would therefore like to take this special anniversary as an opportunity not only to look back, but also to pay tribute to our company’s history. We would therefore like to thank all our employees, customers and partners for their excellent and successful collaboration.
